13 février 9 h 30 min – 11 h 30 min
Have you dabbled into knitting and tried your first couple of stitches? And now thinking what to do next? If you would like to build on your skills and take it to the next level, join our beginner friendly workshop for knitting in the round.
Most of the patterns require knitting in the round. Whether you knit a hat, socks, mittens or a sweater, this is the skill you need.
What will we do?
We will tackle together the knitting in the round technique from casting on, getting through those first tricky rounds, increasing, decreasing and casting off. Lots of handy tips and tricks will be shared to get you confident on your way of making your first in the round project from start to finish.
Who will be teaching?
Alexandra Atepaeva, a knitwear designer whose patterns can be found on Ravelry and in the latest issue of Laine magazine.
What do you need to bring?
We will be working on a hat. It is a perfect project to learn all the ins and outs of knitting in the round. A choice of free patterns will be provided prior to the workshop. You will need to bring your own needles and yarn. All the details and handy resources will be provided to get you well prepared.
Skills required prior to workshop?
All beginner levels are welcome. It would be beneficial if you tried knitting before and know how to do a knit stitch. If not, no worries, we’ll tackle it together.
